Frequently Asked
Questions |
| Q1:
What is a mechanical contractor? |
|
A1: When most
people think of a mechanical contractor they think of someone who supplies
and installs heating and
air conditioning equipment. Actually, a mechanical contractor does offer heating and air conditioning
systems, but we also offer much more. T.E. Smith & Son offers our customers complete estimating,
design, sales, service, fabrication and installation of all types of plumbing, heating, air
conditioning and ventilation systems for commercial, industrial and institutional clients.
We also offer complete preventative maintenance service, custom remote monitoring systems and
computer actuated sheet metal and duct fabrication. |

|
| Q2:
Why does T.E. Smith & Son only do commercial and industrial work
and not residential? |
|
A2: Although we
perform
residential services in the past, we realized that there was a real need for
a quality mechanical contractor
on the Delmarva Peninsula who specialized in commercial and industrial applications.
We also realized that to be the best in our field we had to devote ourselves exclusively to that field.
There are several fine contractors in our area that specialize in residential plumbing, heating and
air conditioning. As with commercial work, the residential contractor
must devote his attentions
to the residential mechanical field. |

| Q4:
Where do you work? How far will you travel? |
|
A4: Our company is based
in Salisbury, Maryland which is the hub of the Delmarva Peninsula that includes Delaware, Maryland
and Virginia. We work in a radius of approximately 75 miles from our base in Salisbury.
We will work in areas that exceed 75 miles, but the logistics of that
work would require special
arrangements and considerations with our respective customers. |
